Return policy

If you wish to return the items ordered on our webshop, you can always return them within 14 days post-arrival. As soon as we have received the returned goods in proper condition, we will refund the purchase price. You will receive an email from customer care once the return and refund are processed. As of that moment, it can take up to 14 business days to complete the reimbursement. The refund gets paid via the same payment method used when placing the order. If you partially return your order, the shipping costs are not refunded. The postal charges for returning the order to Rijksmuseum are not refunded. 

How can I return my order or part of my order?

Step 1. Please check whether you are still within the return period of 14 days (counting as of the date you received your order). If you are still within this timeframe, please fill in the return form. This form can be found on the back of the packing slip, but you can also download it and print it out.

Step 2. Do you still have the original box? Then pack the product in this box, including the filling. If you no longer have the original, another box is also fine. Please do not forget to add the completed return form to the package!

Step 3. State the following information on your package:

Step 4. Deliver your package to the local post office. The postage costs for returning your package will not be reimbursed. Do you opt for a package with tracking? Hold on to the proof of shipment well, or take a photo of it just to be sure. This is proof that you have returned your package. If the package gets lost in the post, we can help you better if you have this proof.

I just received my order, but something is wrong with the product(s). What can I do? 

Sadly, sometimes a product gets damaged in transit. If you have received any products in a damaged state, please contact customer care to resolve the issue.
