Despite the precautions we take, it is unfortunately possible for a product to be damaged before or during transport. We naturally do everything we can to prevent such situations.

Should you nevertheless receive a damaged product, please contact the Customer Service department (customercare@rijksmuseum.nl) or complete the contact form on this page: LINK. We aim to send a full response offering a suitable solution within 3 working days.

Complaints?

We value good service very highly. Your satisfaction is the most important thing to us! That is why we would like to be told if you are dissatisfied with the shipment, handling or service provided by the Rijksmuseum or if you have a complaint about any of the products.

Does the legal guarantee apply?

The rule for all products on our website is that the legal guarantees apply. This means that the product must be or must do what you, the consumer, could reasonably have expected. The Rijksmuseum is responsible for delivering a proper product. The product should not have any defects that would not be expected to appear during the expected lifespan when used normally. If that does happen, we will arrange for the product to be repaired or replaced or for the purchase sum to be refunded.

There is no time limit on the above; one product will after all last longer than another or more may be expected from it. These rules are defined in law and are also stated in our General Terms and Conditions.
