A pure silk scarf with bamboo grass, flowers and a songbird in a picture perfect colour palette. The design was freely inspired by the kimono in Breitner's Girl in the White Kimono from 1894. At the time, the west saw a true Japan-mania going on, which Breitner was also completely impressed by. The scarf is a design by Hellen van Berkel, specialist in prints and embroidery on silk and wool.
