This beautiful glasses case is covered with fabric. The print comes from a drawing from the 17th-century Tulip Book by Jacob Marrel.
Flowers of Marrel
The print by Marrel comes from an album with drawings of tulips. This variant shows two tulips, a shell, damselfly and a butterfly. Jacob Marrel (1613 - 1681) was a German painter and etcher. One of his courses followed with still life painter Jan Davidsz. the Hem. Read more about Marrel's tulips.
